This set of futatokoro, consists of kozuka and kogai is an auspicious design of crane and turtle with old pine tree and bamboo. Since ancient times, cranes have been said to live for a thousand years and turtles for ten thousand years, symbolizing longevity. Also, cranes are said to stay together for life once they mate, so they are also a symbol of marital harmony. Pine and bamboo are also considered as symbols of longevity and health, as they do not fade even in winter and maintain their dignified appearance. The ornate gold and silver cranes, turtles, pine and bamboo are harmoniously arranged on a neatly aligned with nanako pattern on shakudo surface. A dignified workmanship of likely the Goto school. It is mumei, but has been attributed to the Kyo-kinko metalwork, it has passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in November 2024.
