This pair of Shishi Menuki is Mumei but has been attributed to the Waki-goto Tradition. The spine has marks referred to as Namekuri-tagane and on the rear leg you can see a few lines. These are the features of the Goto Tradition. The marks on the body, referred to as Suhamamon, are of a different design from the Goto Tradition, so they were attributed to the Waki-goto Tradition. It was crafted during the Early Edo Period.
