| This Tsuba is Mumei but has been attributed to the Hayashi Tradition, which was one of the Higo Traditions. The Higo Traditions flourished by the support of the Hosokawa Clan. Higo Koshirae was crafted from well-forged iron fit for practical use. The founder of the Hayashi Tradition was Hayashi Matashichi was born in 1605. He was one of the representatives of the Higo Craftsmen and his linage continued to the seventh generation. This Tsuba is made from well-forged iron and has a popular and sophisticated design. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu in 2020. |
