The theme of this Tsuba is Symmetrical Daki-Myoga (two Japanese ginger shoots), Fans, Bamboo Tea Whisks and Karigane (wild geese). It is Mumei but has been attributed to the Kyo-sukashi Tradition. This Tradition is Jisukashi Tsuba, open work design crafted in Kyoto. It is not signed. The open design is very popular work, same as the Owari and Akasaka Traditions. The Kyo-sukashi Tradition work has an image of elegance and sophistication. It passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosugu Shinsa in 2000.
