Other Info
Eizui [永随] was a member of the Azuma [吾妻] clan. He first studied under Inagawa Yoshikatsu [稲川良克] and took the name Yoshiyuki [良随]. Later, he became a desciple of Hamano Noriyuki [濱野矩随] and changed his name to Nagayuki [永随]. This tsuba is a meticulous work by Nagayuki, who used the go as Ryoondo [良恩堂] and was engraved with gold seal flat inlay. This is a elegant tsuba with a white heron under the moon, in the Hamano style, making full use of techniques. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2021.
