Other Info
| During the Edo period, Nanban/Europian culture was introduced and exotic tsuba were made, such as silver-overlaid tsuba and intricate carved openwork tsuba with dragon and arabesque patterns, and they became popular as Nanban tsuba. This tsuba features a dragon and Alphabet Characters carved into the brass ground. It is a rare Nanban tsuba that is different from the usual. |
