Nakagawa Itteki [中川一的] was born in Tsuyama, Mimasaka Province in 1835. His early name was Katsuyoshi [勝好] and Katsutaka [勝敬]. His elder brothers were Nakagawa Issho [中川一匠] and Shoami Katsuyoshi [正阿弥勝義]. In 1861, through discussion among his father and brothers, he became the successor to the Nakagawa lineage, inheriting the 9th and becoming an official craftsman by the Matsudaira family of Tsuyama Domain. In the Meiji period, through the intermediation of his older brother Issyo, he became a disciple of Goto Ichijo [後藤一乗], and was allowed to use his master's character and take the name Itteki [一的]. He was skilled in the Ichijo school's leading styles of kebori, kou-sukibori, and flat inlay. This tsuba is a beautiful piece with the nakago-hitsu-ana hole still intact. A plum tree was skillfully carved using kou-sukibori technique. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2024.

Owari kinko/metalwork is an intricate and beautiful piece with many designs of flowers, birds, and insects carved in gold inlay with a base of shakudo nanako suraface. The style is similar to Mino-bori carving, and it is also known as Mino Goto. This fuchi-kashira shows a chrysanthemum and vines in resemble Mino-bori carving only on the shakudo nanako surface. This fuchi-kashira gives an impression of elegant. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in February 2025.

This swordsmith, Shohoken Yoshiyuki, was the son of Yamazaki Yoshihiro from Izumo Province. Shohoken was adopted by the swordsmith, Shimizu Masayoshi from Yonago. Later Shohoken moved to the city of Osaka where he learned Bizen-den. Sometime after, he moved back to Izumo where he became an official worker of the Izumo Province. He passed away in 1886 at the age of 75-year-olds. This Katana has a length of 2.47 Shaku, a very long blade with a beautiful shape. The Kitae is Koitame and the Hamon is Gunome-midare with Konie and Ashi. The Boshi is Midare Komaru and the Nakago is Reversed Sujikai file pattern with Kessho pattern. It remains one of the masterpieces of Shohoken Yoshiyuki and has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token shinsa in June of 2018.
